Every single online Marketer out there has his/her own advice on Internet Marketing and they will no doubt give different tips/hints.
Although the best Internet Marketing tips will be tailored to your business, as every business is different, there are some general tips that should be considered.
Below I will list my TOP 10 Internet Marketing Tips:
  1. Have a SOLID Marketing Plan at the outset and stick to it! If things change and/or are not working out, change what needs changing.
    The best advice I can give is to consult someone knowledgeable when constructing the initial Marketing Plan, as you will save a lot of time, i.

  2. Use Article Marketing as the focal point of your Marketing plan.
    I like article marketing as it is both FREE and EFFECTIVE.
    The key here is to stay committed to writing enough relevant articles that should generally be 350-500 words long; submit them to at least the Top 20 article directories.
  3. Become ACTIVE in your niche/business.
    By this I mean get involved in the relevant online forums and get amongst the 'top guys'.
    Have a signature link in forums that points to your site.
  4. Have an OPT-IN FORM on your website and entice viewers to join your mailing list - you can offer them a FREE relevant e-book for example.
    Building your mailing list should be at the heart of your marketing efforts; make sure you use an AUTORESPONDER to follow up on readers.
  5. Create a BLOG for your website as this is the natural progression.
    By having a blog you can post frequently without disturbing the structure of your website.
    Submit your blog to blog directories and 'ping' all posts to your blog; this will create even more traffic.
  6. Create and Submit VIDEOS to sites like YouTube and Metacafe.
    The video should be relevant to your website and include a link in the description and within the actual video.
  7. Make a list of around 20 KEYWORDS (or phrases) for your website - all relating to your website and niche.
    Make sure these keywords are reasonably searched for (without being overly competitive) and then make these the core of your website.
    Aim to dominate the search rankings for these keywords using articles, classified ads, videos, social bookmarking sites and so on.
  8. Create pages on places like Squidoo and Hubpages and link back to your main site.
    Use FREE classified ads to link to your site also.
  9. MONETIZE your traffic.
    As I said above, building your mailing list is very important but it's no good if you don't capitalize on all your hard work.
    The best way to do this is by promoting related Affiliate Products to your new 'clients'.
  10. EXPERIMENT and try creating different marketing funnels: squeeze page, autoresponder, follow up, monetize.
    TEST different 'game plans' and stay ahead of the competition!
